- Pamela Arrarás has been working in the field of EFL/ESL for over 11 years. Originally from Argentina, she is currently living in Greensboro, North Carolina as a cultural exchange teacher with the Visiting International Faculty Program (VIF). In addition to teaching ESL at the middle and high school level, she is currently pursuing an M.A. in English and Spanish as Foreign Languages from the Spanish Universities of Jaén and León. She recently finished the TESOL Practices and Principles of Online Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and continues to incorporate technology into her teaching and into the multicultural awareness activities she has developed to teach American students about Argentina. During the past three years she has coordinated a number of partnerships between classes in the U.S. and classes in three different cities in Argentina through blogs, e-pals, and other media. In 2007, Pamela was recognized by the VIF Program as an Outstanding Cultural Educator.
Among other professional activities, she has been an ESOL/EFL presenter and facilitator and has been a contributor for The Teacher's Magazine. She belongs and is an active member of professional teaching associations, writing for APIBB's newsletter on ocassion and attending the TESOL international convention.
Currently she is focusing on online and blended teaching opportunities, and the role of technology and intercultural education in the field of foreign language teaching.
